My gallery 2

Here is my gallery 2 showcasing some digital work i have done and the end use application of a dress... ‘Puddle of love’, 2008 A nostalgia-based project, exploring personal childhood memories. Born in Taranaki, on the west coast of New Zealand, the beach has always been a dominant part of my life, leading to a love of swimming and therefore to a love of togs, (a love that is never ending). This project focused on the interesting patterns, styles and cuts of togs, morphing and changing - with the application of water to watercolours to create this dripping, bleeding, wet and morphed appearance.

My gallery 3

Here is my gallery 3 which showcases some of my work from 2008 a project called 'The Missing Link'
The Missing Link was a site-based project. The task, to take on elements and inspiration from one chosen site. For me texture and surface were eminent, my chosen site was a small blocked off area in Clyde quay in Wellington harbour, my subject matter; rusted metal gates hidden by defaced and weathered walls. Colour, texture and surface were essential to the development of this project. It seemed fitting to design for men’s urban street wear fashion according to subject matter and aesthetic...

My web index about and links pages

Here are my, index (home), about, and links pages...

Think Feel Studio Blog

This is a really neat blog i discovered with lots of current and up and coming designers. they keep it quite concise only showing minimal works and limited posts on the first page but there are lots of cool designers that you can find through this blog...
(Maija louekar) mentioned in earlier post features on the blog at the moment...

Ruby

Ruby like Alannah Hill have a very distinctive and cute website i love the combination of elements. It is clean and clear yet has hands on elements such as the animals that greet you on the home page. thy are roll over images as links to pages, so when you roll over them they change from the black and white outline image to a full colour image. They website has cohesion throughout and the inclusion of the animals from the homepage troughout keeps the aesthetic tight aswell.

Mokum

Mokum is yes interior based but i wanted to include them for the layout of their website it is very simple but straight forward and easy to navigate. I like the use of fade out images it looks really neat and each image is well chosen as it almost bleeds into the next... progression of image change shown bellow...

Maija Louekar

Maija Louekar has a really cool site its just unfortunate that it scrolls both ways!! but it is essentially a panoramic horizontal scrolling website so it is still really neat. She has lots of great stuff and is really versatile in her application, but I personally like her fashion applications best! Her site is simple yet effective, it has elements of hand drawn illustration as well as graphicy elements.i love her text at the top of the page for her name and titles.

Alannah Hill

Allannah Hill is an internationally known fashion designer. Her work is really distinctive and she has such a great aesthetic that she carries throughout her work. Her website is bubbly, fun, unique, cutesy and has a lot of character. Her website is like taking a journey through a wildlife park it is full of movement, sound and colour. To view these elements you need to have flash, so my skills will not allow me at this point and time to create anything quite like this. The only thing i dont like about her website is all the black as it is a bit over powering also there is alot going on with singing birds and moving nomes etc!!! But check it out! its fun!

Marimekko

Marimekko has several elements that are really cool, being such a huge design brand and company they have more than one website as they are spread globally. here is two layouts, one is more structured and official looking, the other is a lot more playful and has hands on elements included, which i personally am really drawn to...
