Abit more condensed, ... I hope!

- I am doing the online portfolio paper 223.490 as a block course for 2009 as a 4th year textile student studying at Massey. I am aiming to gain recognition within the design industry for myself, existing work and up and coming projects; uni and independent based. The idea will be to promote and showcase my own textile work for future opportunity; such as any job opportunities that may come from having my work out there.

- My audience will be possible employees within the fashion and apparel industry within textiles and abroad, most likely to be aimed at the mid to high fashion areas. With the likely possibility of some employers from within the interior industry, also possible clients and fellow designers.

- I will provide all essential contact details on my website so as if someone was interested in purchasing my work they could then get in-touch with me via the contact details. Or future clients or employers have easy access to me details. The website will be very handy in the future as I plan to travel and this would be a very practical way of having easy access to my work without having to carry a hard copy everywhere I go, it is also easily updated. A PDF link will also be included in which employers can find an attached CV.

- My website will be showcasing work from my 3rd and 4th years at Massey and also some other out of uni projects that have already been done, or under way. The work that I include will essentially be fashion orientated, as this is where I see myself heading in the future. But there may also be the inclusion of some surface pattern work that lends itself more to interiors.

- The design identity and branding will be cohesive throughout, with the continual use of motif and the branding of 'janemareedesign'. Colour also may play a role depending on the works included. Cohesion will be sort to be represented through the works that I do include as a lot of my work has a very organic feel to it, whether this is through pattern, texture, or process. The design identity and branding will be something that I will develop and play with in this project.

- This paper will be a great opportunity to develop my existing computer skills and create a great starting point for future blogging and website development. I hope that in doing this blog and creating a website I will be able to keep adding to it and use it in the future (or have the skills to start afresh), as a reference for myself, future employees, fellow designers and future clients.
